ABOUT DOMINION
We are a roleplay-focused guild on Horde Wow Forever, run by Praise-be-the-Light Rotheford, an undead paladin leading a Light-based cult that focuses on social justice for those traditionally shunned by the Light, and by the Alliance.While the Living -- and all who embrace the "True Light" -- are welcome, it is with the understanding that the path of their Light is meant to serve those who have been shunned or harmed by heretical followers.This guild is an AU version of an existing concept on MG-A.
ABOUT US
Queer-run guild by competent adults largely over the age of 30. We don't roleplay with minors, or with assholes.
We're the best fit for individuals who like making their own fun, are collaborative in their storytelling, and can play "what-if" and "yes-and" to involve others.
There are themes of cult and religious cult behavior, but we do our best roleplay with a mix of levity between heavier elements of roleplay.
We are queer, liberal adults; while politics aren't at the forefront of all our conversations, if you can't abide by LGBTQ+ rights, this probably isn't the guild for you.
HER RADIANT DOMINION
Dominion serves the population of sentient undead as well as other races typically ostracized by the Church of the Holy Light. There is no set definition on what races that typically includes, since the Holy Light often determines what races are ‘evil’ based on individual racial bias, but a key determination is ‘sentience.’ Sentience is determined by the individual, and not a blanket over every individual within the race.
TENETS
As with any faith of the Light, Dominion follows an interpretation of the Three Virtues at its core:
RESPECT
The sentient undead and other cursed beings should be treated with respect and consideration. Where they came before this moment is inconsequential, as well as whatever damage they bare, both mental and physical. None should be treated as second-class or monstrous. We all bear the scars of our torment equally.The living should be treated with courtesy, as they are our brothers and sisters in the Light, but only if they do not act with ill intentions. If they are proven to be heretics, they must earn the opportunity to redeem themselves or be burned by the Light's Radiance.
TENACITY
Heretics seek to snuff us out; we cannot allow our existence to become forfeit because of their fear, anger, and prejudice. We must shelter and protect our own before any others.Rehabilitating our kin requires patience and pain. We have suffered and we have changed, and we must be prepared to care for ourselves and our kin with the understanding that the process is neither short and healing is volatile.Heretics often delight in our suffering. We will be the bearers of their pain and we must continue to rise until their heretical dominion withers and fades.
COMPASSION
Bear your heart towards those who suffer alongside you. The pain we share at the hands of heretics is made to be one of utmost loneliness; they wish us to believe that we are vile, we are wrong, and we are alone. Kindness, affection, and compassion are acts of resistance.Long have we been told we are not capable of such things, or made to be in pain so that we are forced to lash out and allow them to cry wolf. Seek to foster your compassion for your fellow kin, and for yourself. Do not allow the heretical to snuff it out.
